A Garden By the Sea
This Modern Garden was designed to meet a Family Brief, Coastal planting, alfresco living and therefore required a beautiful contemporary finish.
The house was also going to be with the Luxury ‘Blue Chip – Holiday Houses by the Sea’, so standards needed to be high therefore a lot of thought was required.
The modern garden I designed therefore incorporated colourful all-year round planting which could deal with the coastal limitations. Be low maintenance and provide culinary uses as well.
The property was being overlooked, so privacy needed addressing and pleached trees where therefore planted along the boundary lines.
A beautiful limestone and oak terrace was created for sun lounges and an Out door Fire Place built with oak posts and shade sail were installed. The end result being a wonderful entertaining and cosy alfresco seating area.
A child friendly zone was incorporated with soft play chippings and climbing furniture, which one the garden a Blue Chip award ‘For Best Family Friendly Garden 2017’.
The Front Gardens where planted with cherry trees and hedging to provide privacy and also made a welcoming entrance. While the Rear Garden boarders were lushly planted with colourful and scented plants, which made the property a welcoming place that you would like to escape to.
